What is The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse?
The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse is a seafront attraction and interactive adventure based on some of the UK’s most loved children’s stories by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. It features: The Gruffalo, Zog, Room on the Broom, The Snail and the Whale, The Gruffalo’s Child and The Highway Rat!
This amazing space is filled with so many wonderful characters, your kids will truly be delighted as they embark on an imaginative adventure full of exploration, discovery and most importantly, play.
There are 6 wonderful and immersive zones within the attraction!
For adventurous explorers, head into the Deep, Dark Wood Adventure Play where you will meet some familiar creatures. In this zone, you will climb through the woodland-themed structures, race down slides and crawl through forest tunnels.
Next, head into the Deep, Dark Wood Soft Play area as you further immerse yourself into The Gruffalo story in a multi-tiered soft play area! Can you work your way through the spinning walls, secret passageways, netted bridges and even forest-themed elevations?
But that’s not all…head to Zog’s Dragon School Challenge to test your strength and logic in the medieval-themed, soft play zone. Crawl your way through a cladded maze, clamber through obstacles and take on several interactive dragon challenges! Meet Zog himself and soar like a dragon as you swing across the netted bridge.
Then deep dive into The Snail and the Whale Seaside Play ocean-themed ball pool, where you can watch in amazement as the seaside setting transforms from daytime fun into bio-luminescent, night-time immersion.
Don’t worry about your tiny tots, because there’s a special place for them in the Room on the Broom Toddler Play area. They can explore and enjoy physical fun as they climb over the soft play shapes, wriggle through the padded pieces and gaze at the magical bubbling cauldron. Joined by Witch, Cat, Dog, Bird and Frog, your toddlers will engage with the story by helping Witch find her lost belongings!
For little ones who require a quieter place to enjoy more relaxing playtime, the Gruffalo’s Child Sensory Room is the perfect place. Enter a night-time sensory room in a magical winter-themed land. Gaze around in awe at the liquid lamps and LED curtains in this immersive experience and sit back on a tree stump or boulder-shaped soft seating. With woodland surroundings and a snowcapped cave, this zone is designed for a more chilled-out experience.
The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse is an indoor play adventure like no other and a world first too!
