Are tickets cheaper online?

Yes, official online prices are lower than the standard prices shown with donation. Adult tickets are £24.70 without donation and £27.20 with donation. Booking online also lets you choose your timed slot in advance.

Do I need a time slot?

Yes, standard admission uses timed entry. You can arrive at any point within your selected 30-minute slot, but entry outside that slot is not guaranteed.

Is parking free or how much does it cost?

There’s no parking available at Kensington Palace itself. Public transport is the easiest way to get there, with several nearby Underground stations within walking distance.

Is the site cashless?

No, cash is accepted on site. Admissions, the shop, café and Orangery restaurant all accept cash.

What is not included?

Standard admission does not include private tours, guided tours, food, drinks or Orangery reservations. Separate events and special tours may also require their own ticket.

How will I receive my tickets?

When you book online, you can receive your tickets by email or by post. If you choose e-tickets, you can show the PDF on your phone or print it at home.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable. Unused direct admission tickets may be changed to another date or time for an amendment fee by contacting the contact centre, subject to availability and terms.

What proof is needed for a free carer?

Supporting documents such as a Blue Badge, Freedom Pass, DLA letter or PIP letter can be used to obtain a free carer or companion ticket. One carer ticket can also be booked online per booking for a disabled visitor.

Are there toilets available?

Yes! All the toilets at Kensington Palace are accessible and have baby changing facilities. You can find toilets at the Stone Hall, Café and Pigott Galleries.

Where can I leave my bag/luggage/coat while inside the palace?

Kensington Palace doesn’t have luggage or bag storage, and large suitcases, big bags or wheeled luggage can’t be taken inside. To make your visit easier, we recommend travelling light and only bringing small bags with you.

By Tube

Kensington Palace is easily accessible by the London Underground (Tube). The nearest tube stations are:

High Street Kensington (Circle and District lines): From the station, it's about a 10-minute walk. Exit the station, turn left onto Kensington High Street, and walk towards Kensington Gardens. The palace entrance is through the park.

Queensway (Central line): From the station, it takes approximately 15 minutes to walk. Turn left out of the station and enter Kensington Gardens. Follow the signs within the park to Kensington Palace.

Notting Hill Gate (Central, Circle, and District lines): This station is about a 15-minute walk to the palace. Exit the station, head towards Kensington Church Street, and enter Kensington Gardens, following the signs to the palace.

By Train

Paddington Station: From Paddington, take the Circle or District line to High Street Kensington, then follow the walking directions above.

Victoria Station: From Victoria, take the Circle or District line directly to High Street Kensington.

By Bus
