What's On - Activities and Highlights

Zip World Windermere is built around short-format outdoor adventures rather than a single general admission day pass. That means you can book the activity that fits your group, whether that is a high ropes challenge, a climbing session, a freefall drop or a harness-free net adventure.

The setting is a big part of the appeal. The site sits within Brockhole on the edge of Lake Windermere, so you get forest views, open-air activity space and easy access to picnic spots and nearby food outlets.

For younger children, the lower-age options are the net-based adventures. Older children, teens and adults can step up to the trek courses and Climb & Zip, with restrictions depending on the activity.

If you want a practical Lake District adventure day out that is easy to pre-book, this is a strong pick. You can also explore more family days out in Windermere.

This is a multi-activity site, so you book by adventure rather than buying one general entry ticket. Current official options include Full Trek Windermere, Mini Trek Windermere, Treetop Nets Windermere, Treetot Nets Windermere, Treetop Drop and Climb & Zip.

You choose a timed session when you book, and Zip World asks guests to arrive 30 minutes early for check-in. That makes it easier to build into a wider Lake District day out instead of leaving things to chance.

The attraction is set within Brockhole on Windermere, so you have nearby parking, picnic space and other visitor facilities close at hand. It is a practical base for families who want an active stop without committing to a full-day theme park visit.

Ticket Instructions & Booking Process

  • Tickets are sent by email after booking.

  • Show your ticket on your phone when you arrive for check-in.

  • Booking ahead is recommended because official guidance says walk-up spaces cannot be guaranteed.

  • Pre-booking your timed slot helps you get through arrival faster and avoid buying onsite.
