What's On - Activities and Highlights

Alnwick Castle is a strong pick for families who want more than a quick walk around a historic building. You can explore the grounds, visit the State Rooms, dip into museums and collections, and join talks or tours during the day.

There is plenty here for children as well as adults. Broomstick Training is one of the most popular activities, and families can also look out for seasonal entertainment, live events and hands-on heritage experiences across the open season.

Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Some activities are first come, first served, so it is worth checking the What’s On board as soon as you arrive.
