There’s loads to explore, from giant slides and secret tunnels in the adventure play area to gorgeous gardens perfect for getting lost in (in the best way). The Hide & Secrets play zone is brilliant for letting off steam, while the gardens are ideal for a wander, picnic, or just soaking up some sunshine.
Fancy stepping inside? The house itself is seriously impressive with huge rooms, stunning art, and plenty of wow moments.
Whether you’re zooming through the play area, chilling in the gardens, or soaking up stories in the house, Burghley’s got something for everyone.
The Hide & Secrets play area is an epic wooden playground bursting with fun at every turn. Race down giant twisting slides, scramble up rope bridges and climbing towers, and sneak through secret tunnels.
The Sculpture Gardens are lovely to walk around with pretty flowers, cool sculptures, and quiet spots to sit and have a picnic. It’s a great place to enjoy fresh air, explore paths, and take nice photos.
Burghley House is full of amazing rooms with old furniture, beautiful paintings, and grand staircases. Walking around the house feels like stepping back in time and seeing how people lived hundreds of years ago.

The nearest bus route is with Delaine and it stops outside the Main Visitor Entrance on Barnack Road.
By Train:
The nearest train staton is Stamford which is half a mile from the Parkland entrance and 1.5 miles to Burghley House.

Hide & Secrets is open from 14 February to 16 November 2025. Hide & Secrets and Gardens are open daily; the House is closed on Fridays.
