About Hitchin Swimming Centre
Hitchin Swimming Centre offers a 50m heated outdoor pool (open between 25th May and September), a 25m Deck Level, 8 Lane Heated Indoor Pool, Toddlers' Pools both heated indoor and outdoor plus rather unusually Poolside Baby Seats. There's also a sunbathing terrace to enjoy.
The centre also operates SLL's highly successful AquaEd Swim School, following the ASA's National Plan for Teaching Swimming, and giving adults and children the opportunity to learn to swim in a safe and supportive environment.
The superbly equipped Archers Health and Fitness Club offers an 80 station Technogym equipped fitness suite, a steam room, a sauna and a heated bench complete with exclusive members' changing rooms. The latest addition has seen the full construction of 3 new multi-purpose fitness studios. You can also enjoy a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks at the Splash Cafe to help refuel after.
Easy disabled access and disabled pool hoists are provided.
