TUI BLUE holidays
TUI BLUE is TUI's four and five-star hotel concept, positioned above Holiday Village and below the top-end Sensatori range. In practice that means smaller, calmer, less kids' club-forward properties aimed at older families and honeymooning couples.
Where BLUE sits in the TUI stack
TUI's family-facing concepts run in a rough order of noise level. SplashWorld is loud, wet and rides-heavy. Holiday Village is the classic all-inclusive family village with a kids' club that runs from mid-morning to bedtime. TUI BLUE steps down from that to a quieter atmosphere, better food and a smaller footprint. Sensatori is the same shape as BLUE with more luxury spend.
Family fit
BLUE properties usually have a smaller pool footprint than Holiday Village hotels, and less structured children's entertainment. That works for families with teens who don't want a scheduled morning of ping-pong, and for couples travelling with a single younger child who's happy at the pool.
It's a poor fit for two young children who need a kids' club to alternate their days out with parent time. For that shape of family, Holiday Village or Sensatori do more.
Where BLUE is deepest
- Turkey: several BLUE flags along the Antalya coast, competitive on price and food quality.
- Greece: Rhodes and Crete have the strongest BLUE representation, often on quieter coves rather than the main resort strips.
- Balearics: a small but strong BLUE portfolio in Majorca and Ibiza.
- Cape Verde: BLUE properties dominate TUI's Sal Island offer.
Half-board vs all-inclusive at BLUE
BLUE food tends to be several steps up from Holiday Village. If the property does a good half-board, you'll get more out of the destination by eating out two or three evenings. If you're set on staying inside the resort, take the all-inclusive: the drinks package alone earns its keep at four adults' worth.
Booking notes
BLUE properties sell out earlier than the Holiday Village hotels for July and August. Book by mid-January for the wide choice, or pivot to shoulder season, where BLUE is 30 to 45 per cent cheaper than peak and typically still warm enough for pool days.
