Things To Do At Knowsley Safari Park

Safari Drive

This fabulous safari drive is 5 miles – the longest in the UK – where you can spot cheeky baboons and marvel at the magnificent lion pride! In the 550 acres of land, you can spot animals worldwide on this car-friendly route. All in environments as close to their natural habitats as possible. Every time you go around, it'll be different because animals don't sit still, do they? And with many different zones to experience, it'll be one of your wildest dreams. Be amazed as lions roam around your car as you enter the lion enclosure, gaze at rhinos, forest wildebeest, camels, and much more!

Baboon Bus

The Baboon Bus at Knowsley Safari is a thrilling and unique way to experience the park's famous baboon reserve!

This specially designed bus takes visitors on an exciting journey through the heart of the baboon enclosure, with up-close views of these mischievous and highly social primates. Unlike in your own car, you don't have to worry about baboons causing any damage as you watch their playful antics from the safety and comfort of the bus! Knowledgeable guides tell you really cool facts about baboon behaviour and their natural habitat, enhancing the experience with fun and educational commentary.

Fairground Rides

The fairground rides at Knowsley Safari Park add an extra layer of excitement and fun to your visit!

The fairground is packed with thrilling rides and attractions suitable for all ages. Young kids can enjoy gentle rides like the carousel and mini Ferris wheel, while older kids and adults can get their adrenaline pumping on more exhilarating options such as the pirate ship and twisty roller coaster.

The vibrant atmosphere, complete with the sounds of laughter and cheerful music, creates a delightful carnival ambience.

On Foot Safari

Knowsley Safari's Foot Safari offers an immersive and up-close experience with a variety of fascinating animals in a naturalistic setting.

You can discover majestic Amur tigers, playful meerkats, and inquisitive giraffes, all while learning about their behaviours and conservation efforts through engaging exhibits and informative talks.

The well-designed walkways and viewing areas ensure a safe and enjoyable visit for all ages. Beyond the animals, the Foot Safari features beautifully landscaped gardens and picnic areas, providing a perfect spot to relax and take in the surroundings. There are also interactive areas, such as the Bat Forest and Sea Lion Show, which offer unique opportunities to experience the animal kingdom in a new light!
