Zip World is one of three outdoor adventure parks in Wales. One is in Fforest, Slate Caverns and the third in Penrhyn Slate Quarry, Wales.

Penrhyn Quarry is filled with a range of experiences that are both unique and interesting, as well as anxiety-inducing experiences that are perfect for adrenaline junkies who thrive on it!

From diving deep down in the mines, climbing higher than before with the Tower Climber, and zooming as fast as can be on the many zip lines they have! But that’s not all, you can zip and slide down in the Fforest Coaster, scramble around in the tree nets and swerve with skills on the quarry karts. There’s so much to do at Zip World, no matter which site you go to, that you’ll make enough memories to last a lifetime.

Probably the most incredible Zip World experience is Velocity 2.

It’s the fastest zip line in the world since 2013! You’ll speed down at figures of 100mph and over, as you take in the stunning views (if you can look down!). Not only will you have a birds-eye view of Snowdonia, but you’ll be speeding down a 1.5km zip line that makes up for a 2-hour time session experience on Velocity and extraordinary views along the way.

You don’t have to zip line all the way down on your own, because Velocity 2 has four parallel lines over 2 separate zip lines. Meaning, you can zoom down this exhilarating ride along with friends and family! And collectively take in the breath-taking views, as you gather your own breath from the adrenaline in anticipation of the journey!

Of course, with an exhilarating ride comes safety instructions and a detailed safety briefing. Before heading off you’ll be strapped into your safety harness and will run through all the safety checks, like the do’s and don’ts.

• The minimum height is 1.2m
• Maximum height is 2.03m
• The minimum weight is 29kg
• Maximum weight is 130kg

If there are adverse weather conditions, Zip World may have to cancel the zip line experience, due to safety reasons.

You can zoom down 1555m at 100mph! With up to 4 people for two hours! How awesome does that sound?! It’s the ultimate amazing adrenaline rush that is perfect as a birthday gift or a family day out, full of adventure!
