    Beginning of Go Ape

    outside go ape
On our arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff members who were very supportive and helped us understand all the ape courses. When you arrive you will see a nice little gift shop and the front desk to Go-Ape.

Before going forward we had to sign some waivers regarding the challenges we were taking on. We then had to read the rules and regulations before starting. When looking around you can see all the rope adventures, which then made me feel more worried about climbing up so high. But all the staff members were very supportive and patient when we felt scared to face the heights.

We then walked over to the treetop adventures. The staff members then helped us fit into our harnesses and guided us with how to use the equipment to make sure we were safe. We then listened to a safety brief, making sure we understand the adventures. The staff members also demonstrated how to use the ropes to ensure we were safe at the top at all times.

Before going up to the top, the two staff members let us practice how to use the ropes along the wires and make sure we understand the harness too.

    Treetop Adventure

    climbing along adventure
We started off with treetop adventures. The friendly team members were very supportive when we were worried to go onto the courses. With wobbly bridges and wooden obstacles we felt safe with our harnesses. You had to make sure you completed each course in the air to make sure you could reach the next adventure.

Each treetop course had a little board telling us how to complete the course and whether it was classified as easy or not. With the support of the staff and my team members, I made it around the courses. It was a great adrenaline rush experience and I would definitely suggest everyone try out these adventures. This course is great for those who have never climbed up into the trees before like me and my colleagues.

What I’m really proud of is I faced my zip-wiring fear. At the end of the course, there were forest ziplines that we needed to go down on. I was petrified and worried about the height. But the staff were very patient and encouraging when they were waiting with me at the top of the zipline. But they were incredible zip lines and it was a great way to face my fears.

We also complete the treetop adventure plus! This loop of fun adventure was filled with prison bars, rock walls and wooden tunnels. This challenge was a bit more difficult because the rope courses were swaying outdoors and it seemed a lot higher up! The activities were a little more extreme but were great fun and I’m glad we all faced our fears.

I was able to complete the course with the epic zip wires which were loads of fun!

Want to feel like Tarzan? Go ahead and try out the Tarzan swings! The swings are fast speed and let you feel like you’re on top of the world.
