Tidal Wave The Experience

tidal wave

Having first opened in 2000, Tidal Wave became a record-breaking ride as it was once the tallest water attraction in Europe! It’s also a Shoot the Chute ride concept, where it promises a super-soaking splash like no other.

Let’s set the scene… Tidal Wave at Thorpe is themed around a 1960s New England fishing village called Amity Cove that was recently devastated by a gigantic tidal wave! The radio station is still working though and is reporting that emergency rescue boats are on their way to help evacuate the town. While playing music from the time period, you’re fully immersed in the 1960s as you make your way around the village on your emergency over-sized boat.

As you reach heights of 85ft, you’re thrown down a hill into the splash pool where you’ll be met by a gigantic wall of water that soaks you from head to toe. For every person onboard you’ll face 215 litres of water and a force of 88000N rushing onto you… An impressive splash with a lot of water!

There won’t be one dry eye in the boat…or anything dry for that matter. And if you think you’re smart by waiting on the observation bridge, you’re in for a surprise or shall I say soaking. Because no one stays dry here!

Oh, and don’t forget to smileee for your super-soaked ride photo!

Are you ready for the ultimate soaking of your life?
