Climb to new heights at Rock Up Birmingham
Take on fun climbing walls with colourful and challenging levels or brave vertical challenges like the Leap of Faith, Stairway to Heaven or the Vertical Drop Slide! Many of the climbing courses are inspired by your favourite action TV shows like Ninja Warrior and Freerunning. There are also soft play activities and ropes courses for little ones too.

Enrol in a Park Run at Cannon Hill Park
If you love the rush of exercising outdoors, entering a park run is a great way to meet like-minded exercise lovers. Although it may be challenging for beginners, the park run is actually a super fun experience and this is coming from a local Brummie who has done the Cannon Hill Park Run a few times!
Cannon Hill Park is located in Edgbaston and is also on the same grounds as the Midlands Arts Centre (MAC Centre). The park is also located near the University of Birmingham, so it’s easily accessible for teenage students.

Explore the Butterfly House at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
Meet butterflies from every corner of the Earth from as far as the Philippines to neutral America and tropical parts of Africa. Not only will you get to see them fly but if you look closely, you’ll see them drinking from exotic nectar-rich plants.
The Butterfly House is located in the far-left corner of the gardens and is open from late May until the first Sunday in September.
