What is a Stately Home?
Stately homes are grand houses often built during the 18th and 19th centuries. They are often located in rural areas or along country roads. These mansions are usually surrounded by beautiful gardens and acres of parkland.
There are many stately homes across the United Kingdom. Some of them are open to the public, while others require a private tour. The ones that are open to the public offer visitors a glimpse into the lives of wealthy families from the past.
