• Initially announced in 2020, the proposed opening date was 2025, but due to delays and requests for planning permission and design improvements, its now been pushed back to 2027.
• New design improvements see a more inclusive entry at the south entrance point, with a managed drop-off. Making the attraction more accessible with visitor arrivals.
• The updated improvements have accounted for a larger number of expected visitors and building works have been scheduled to take around 24-30 months.
• On-site parking has been designed with concealments in nature to align with the sustainable focus. There will also be a roof that will provide an outdoor customer terrace with canal views.
• There will be a new connection to Bridgewater Canal that will allow an easier pubic transport link to Manchester City Centre.
