More than 130 National Trust gardens and parks in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are now open - tickets must be booked in advance. From Monday 13 July, several houses will begin to re-open, as well. Please check the National Trust website for more details.

Introduce your kids to history through games at Tredegar House. Let imaginations run wild - create your own stories with shadow puppets and dress up in period costumes. Bookworm? Make sure to check out the hidden gems at the second-hand bookshop.

Escape the hustle and bustle of Newport at the peaceful Tredegar House parkland. Enjoy a family walk, have a picnic, or go for a jog as the kids ride a bike by your side. Bring a ball, or maybe play a good, old game of hide and seek with your tots...There are some many ways to spend quality time together in the park!

Love animals? Play “spot the fish” with your kids by the lake and keep an eye out for swans, coots, herons and other feathered friends. Bring your dog along too. The four-legged members of your family are welcome at Tredegar House park, so you won’t have to worry about leaving them at home.
