Kids during the school holidays in Birmingham

Top Things to do in the Birmingham School Holidays

With the Birmingham school holiday dates marked down in your calendar, not it’s time to start exploring. We suggest you start with these 5 Birmingham attractions:

1 Mr. Mulligan’s Birmingham

Intergalactic fun at the heart of Birmingham sounds like something you’d be interested in? Take your space explorers to Mr. Mulligan’s Space Golf Birmingham. This brand new mini golf venue has been a huge hit ever since it opened doors in December 2018. It will have you and your tiny putters swinging your golf sticks through 3 epic sci-fi themed courses. Plus there are bars and restaurants on-site, so everyone can have a treat at the end.

If you love a good game of adventure mini golf with the kids, you should add Mr. Mulligan’s Birmingham on your list of things to do during the Birmingham school holidays. And that applies to any holidays, since this indoor activity is great no matter the weather.

2. Rush Trampoline Park Birmingham

Who doesn’t like a bit of trampolining? Some carefree bouncing can make anyone feel like a child again but at the huge Rush Trampoline Park Birmingham, there’s much more than just trampolines (although there are over 100 of them!). Whether you’re up for an extreme family basketball or dodgeball face-off, or you fancy taking on the assault course, or maybe you just want to dive into the foam pit, it’s all there and it’s just a tiny bit of what’s on offer!

Rush Birmingham is located only 4 miles south of Birmingham city centre, so it’s easily-accessible and it won’t take you a long time to get there.

3. Cadbury World

Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! Cadbury World is the perfect attraction for anyone who’s got a sweet tooth. There are various chocolatey zones to explore from an African Adventure play area to a Chocolate Making Zone. Kids of all ages enjoy the interactive virtual experiences which allow you to play in the chocolate rain, chase Creme eggs and even grow your own cocoa tree.

Cadbury World throws some amazing events for their younger visitors during the Birmingham school holidays, so be sure to check their events’ programme in advance and book your tickets early on, if you don’t want to miss out on the fun.

4. Cooks Moors Woods

The stats are showing that parents in the UK love nothing more than a day at the water park. If you live in Birmingham, you won’t have to go too far to find some splashing fun. Cooks Moors Woods leisure centre has a pool equipped with a wave machine, a 50m flume, interactive water features and a separate tots’ area, which guess what - you can reach via a graduated beach area. Sounds like a proper holiday attraction, doesn’t it?

Of course, at Cooks Moors Woods, you can also enjoy the usual leisure centre activities, including gym classes, swimming lessons, and different sports and workouts.

5. LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham

Surely, heaps of LEGO fun won’t be a hard sell when you pitch your next family day out idea to the kids. LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham is an indoor LEGO-themed attraction which is especially designed for kids aged 3 to 12.

6 zones, 4D cinema, rides, DUPLO Farm and ride-on LEGO cars - it’s not just an indoor play centre, it’s LEGO heaven! To be fair, even as a grown-up LEGO fan, you’re bound to enjoy the Master Builder classes, or spotting famous landmarks in the miniature version of Birmingham at MINILAND. The centre’s well worth a visit!
