Top Things to do in the Warwickshire School Holidays

Twycross Zoo, Atherstone

If you love animals, there’s no better zoo in the region than Twycross Zoo. There you can see over 500 animals of more than 150 species, including the biggest collection of monkeys and apes in the Western World.

Even if you’ve been to Twycross Zoo before, it’s worth coming by this spring to see its newest resident – the critically endangered Eastern Black Rhino. The majestic female is moving in the Easter Warwickshire school holiday, shortly followed by her male companion. Don’t miss your chance to be amongst the first people to see these wonderful, rare creatures at Twycross Zoo.

Warwick Castle, Warwick

For the perfect history-inspired day out, take your young knights and princesses to the glorious Warwick Castle. A spellbinding experience awaits the whole family with attractions including the Horrible Histories Maze and King Arthur’s mythical Dragon Tower.

With outdoor attractions ranging from a tots’ area to a survival course for the 8-13-year-olds, you won’t have any problem entertaining everyone, even if you’ve got kids of different ages. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for special events. You wouldn’t want to miss the goat races, would you?
