The Flying Fish
You may think Thorpe Park is a place for older kids and adults who love adrenaline-pumping roller coasters, BUT there are plenty of rides for the younger ones. And a family favourite is the Flying Fish roller coaster. A colourful, fun and fast coaster, hitting speeds of 19mph – it’s the perfect ride for younger thrill-seekers.
Whether they’re just starting out on roller coasters or fancy something smaller, this ride will have you screaming with excitement and you’ll be leaving with big cheesy grins! It actually first opened up in 1984 as an indoor ride in outer space called Space Station Zero!
Originally The Flying Fish travels through a garden packed with dense foliage and zooms around the track. Now it zooms around tall reeds and fun ponds, with a speed that the younger ones will love. If you find yourself wanting to have a laugh while zooming on a fish above water – this is the one!
