Secret Cinema’s location has varied with all their events. They’ve set up in London, Los Angeles, plus many more places and they’re coming to Birmingham! So, gear up for a film night like no other Brummies.

Everyone has their favourite films. They watch them over and over, for comfort, entertainment or just because they simply love the film. But have you ever felt like you wanted to live in the same universe? I know we’ve wanted to live in the Wizarding World… It’s just not possible.

INTRODUCING…Secret Cinema – an immersive film event where not only can you experience iconic worlds from the screen, but also live in every moment.

For any film-lover out there, you’ll be able to enjoy things beyond your wildest imagination as your favourite stories come to life in the most epic ways. No longer on the screen, but right in front of you! Dress the part, become your favourite character, immersive yourself into iconic scenes, engage with performers and play games too! You may arrive not knowing what to expect, but you’ll leave knowing you had the most magical night.

What films have been transformed into immersive worlds, I hear you ask? Well, previously their past worlds have been:

Enter worlds with purpose-built sets designed to immerse you in the filmic dreamscape of your favourite film. With iconic locations, hidden rooms and interactions with characters you’ve only ever dreamt of meeting. Not to mention interactive performances and a cast of actors in character playing your favourites, that for the past decade audiences have absolutely been enthralled with!

Most of what happens remains a secret though… So, we don’t know what will be shown for the Secret Cinema Birmingham event. We don’t know where in Birmingham it is or what it’ll entail – it’s all kept a secret to wow and surprise you.

But what we can do, is let you in on their past worlds. Just so you can get a feel for what Secret Cinema Birmingham will be like!

Since the 3rd and final Guardians of the Galaxy is about to come out, we thought we’d share what this Secret Cinema world was like.

Head to planet Knowhere for an amazing experience, explore the vibrant life under neon lights on Contraxia and explore a galaxy’s worth of adventure in just one night!

Six clans battled it out in a competition which would crown them as Clan of the Galaxy. Everyone boogied to music, sang and partied the night away. But with attempted bribery, betrayal between clans and bad dancing…these crimes sent you straight to prison by the Nova Corps. Could you have attempted a prison break?

Finally, the audience united to rescue Groot who had been collected and imprisoned in a cage by The Collector. Did the magical chant ‘We are Groot” free him?

Since phones aren’t allowed, there are plenty of other delicious secrets, that you just won’t find out, unless you go there yourself. But by transforming an ordinary space into a galaxy with such attention to detail, it truly was the ultimate experience.
