The Boorman Adventures Haven Burnham On Sea Experience
Arrival at Burnham On Sea
Hi I’m Hannah and I enjoyed a recent short break to Haven Burnham on Sea with my husband and son. My son has many additional needs, both physical and neurological. So, I will also mention about accessibility at this Haven holiday park.
As you can see in my videos, my son uses the Special Tomato EIO Special Needs Pushchair. It’s designed to last children until they’re in their early teens. It’s a big bulky thing. and bigger than the standard Excel Elise or McClaren Major disability strollers. I’m mentioning this in hopes that wheelchair users can make informed decisions about the access of this site.
Staff
Everyone we encountered was lovely and the entertainment team really did go above and beyond to accommodate us. From spending time with my son and not rushing him to reaching out and giving us the rough times The Seaside Squad were out and who it was so we could plan better.

Accessibility
The park itself is very flat. We had no issues navigating the roads or paths. The entrance to the pool is on a hill but that’s the only one we encountered. I would suggest that there needs to be more parking including disabled spaces at the entrance.
The restaurant was nicely spaced out and we had no issues getting a table with enough space to accommodate the buggy either. We didn’t have to book but we were asked every time and I do believe its advised to book tables in busy periods. We only used the disabled toilet once and it was lovely and clean.
There was a lift to the upstairs show bar and entertainment which was good but I do think it could have been bigger.
The pool area had automatic doors inside via a button which is awesome! So useful. The changing rooms are small if you are able to arrive swim ready I’d suggest that. The pool itself is a beach entry so brilliant for those that need to get used to water and for anyone that struggles with steps.
Final Thoughts
We had a fabulous time at this site and we made some awesome memories.
