Ever thought about visiting Hyde Park Winter Wonderland but never quite made the journey? Well, why not follow Tiff’s family day out, read what it’s like for families and then enjoy a day there too!

Our Day at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

This year, we decided to make some festive family memories at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, and wow – it did not disappoint! From Norwich, we took the car, parked at Epping, and hopped on the Central Line straight to Marble Arch. It’s a super easy journey, and the excitement of the kids on the tube sets the tone for the day!

Top Tip: If you’ve got little ones, a small fold-up pushchair is a lifesaver. Winter Wonderland is pushchair-friendly, and it’s perfect for when those little legs need a break from all the exploring.

Our Highlights of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland is HUGE, and there’s something for everyone, from toddlers to grown-ups. Here are a few of our favourite moments:

The Real Ice Slide

This was the ultimate highlight for our family! It’s suitable for all ages – my 3-year-old loved sliding down with me, while my 6-year-old braved it solo. It’s such a thrill and something we’ll be talking about for weeks!

The Giant Wheel

Riding the Giant Wheel gave us the most magical view of Winter Wonderland. Seeing the sparkling lights and festive buzz from above was breathtaking and added a real “wow” moment to our day.

The Magical Ice Kingdom

We were blown away by the Alice in Wonderland-themed ice sculptures. It was like stepping into a frozen fairy tale! The kids were fascinated by the detail, and the ice slide at the end was another big hit.

Santa Land

If you’re visiting with younger kids, Santa Land is a must. The rides here are perfect for little ones. Our favourites were the Reindeer Ride and, of course, the timeless carousel – because is it really Christmas without a carousel ride?

Food for Everyone

With so many food options, it’s hard to choose, but we loved the Voodoo Rays Bottomless Pizza Party. It was super kid-friendly, and the festive pizza was delicious!

Why We’ll Be Back!

This was our first visit to Winter Wonderland with the kids, and it exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere is magical, the rides are amazing, and there’s a real festive buzz that captures the spirit of Christmas. While we stuck to the more family-friendly areas this time, the big rides and attractions for older kids and adults looked incredible, too – maybe for when the kids are a little older!

Final Thoughts

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is a must-visit for families looking to soak up the festive magic. It’s bigger, brighter, and more enchanting than we imagined. Whether it’s your first visit or an annual tradition, there’s something new to discover every time.

If you needed to be convinced on whether to visit Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, we think Tiff’s day out hash hit the mark! Hyde Park Winter Wonderland will forever be that attraction to amaze absolutely everyone! From magical twinkling lights and thrilling rides, to meeting Santa and skating on their ice rink – your Christmas day out couldn’t get any better!
