Parks In London to Watch King Charles Coronation

There will be a selection of screening sites to watch coronation events within the main London parks. Find out exact details and how to access the screening areas below.

Hyde Park

There will be a total of 4 giant screens showing the official coronation ceremony in Hyde Park. These will be located at The Boathouse Lawn, on football pitches near the Serpentine Boating Lake and at The Cockpit.

In addition, there will be a number of facilities including toilets, plus food and drink kiosks. Large crowds are expected but there will be stewards and police to help guide everyone and keep the area safe and secure.

Green Park and St James's Park

There will be 1 large screen at the Board Walk within Green Park. At St James’s Park the screening area will be near Malborough Gate. With a stunning view of Buckingham Palace from certain areas of St James’s Park, this will be an amazing location to witness this historic event in the royal calendar.

Please note that these locations are smaller than Hyde Park. Therefore, it is expected that they will reach capacity early. Also, similar to Hyde Park there will be places to purchase food and drink, plus toilet facilities at both St James’ Park and Green Park. Remember to please check before you travel as there will be nearby station closures at certain times during the bank holiday weekend.

The coronation procession for King Charles’s coronation will follow a shorter route than the late Queen Elizabeth II’s special day. However, there will still be plenty of places across London to spot a glimpse of this spectacular royal occasion.
