Little ones can saddle up for pony rides (ages 2.5+, weather permitting), while aspiring riders can take advantage of the full riding school (pre-booking required). And when it’s time to play, there’s no shortage of action - bounce on the UK’s largest Jumping Pillow, explore the Enchanted Hamlet covered play area, race go-karts, try mini golf, or dive into the indoor Rainforest Playbarn.

Award winning Matlock Farm Park

Matlock Farm Park is nestled in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside and offers a refreshing escape where outdoor adventure and hands-on animal encounters come together for a memorable day out for visitors of all ages.

Bookable animal experiences

A full horse riding school provides additional opportunities, with lessons and treks available for all abilities throughout the year (pre-booking esential). Younger visitors can delight in daily pony rides too with no need for pre-booking.

Visitors can try something different by booking an alpaca trek experience, where the adventure continues into neighbouring woodland. Take in the scenery, find out fun facts, and stop for photo opportunities with your new furry friend.

Perfect for all ages

Guests can explore the spacious, accessible grounds while meeting an impressive variety of friendly animals, from Highland cattle, llamas, parrots and deer, to pigs, goats, rabbits and horses. Interactive experiences add to the excitement, with opportunities to feed animals, enjoy small animal petting, wallaby encounters, reptile sessions and meerkat talks. While seasonal highlights such as sheep and ferret racing and the arrival of playful goat kids bring extra excitement during weekends, holidays and summer months.

Little ones can enjoy playtime fun exploring indoor and outdoor play areas and bouncing on the UKs largest jumping pillow. Visitors can also test their skills at mini golf and go-kart track racing for youngsters.
