Rapid Horizons offer a day full of excitement and splashtastic fun with their friendly staff members. It's ideal for active and up-for-it types who can try everything tip they find their next adrenalin hobby!
Tubing involves a float down the bottom section of the rafting run, in custom ‘built for the River' tubes, along the twists and turns of the river, with an exciting finish through the rapids! The kayak based River Guide will give you all the information you need for a safe journey and it's loads of fun!
Rafting is a great way to explore the river as you meander through rolling hills, enjoying the countryside…before you reach the rapids! Check out the famous High Tor Cliff as you paddle through the Wind Tunnel and see how many climbers you can count! Also loads of fun, but a bit more skill and daring required!
You can also travel the same stretch of river by tandem kayak, which is terrific fun and keeps you all together. You don't need previous experience,but everyone will need to be able to swim confidently. That bit's probably obvious, isn't it?
Allow at least 2 hours for rafting and kayaking, including brief and kit up, and 1.5 hours for Tubing. Wetsuits are available to hire.
Be prepared for rough water in the rapids and the fact that some of you may fall in the river, so may not be suitable for the faint hearted! Also a few bags of extra clothes and layers in the car boot along with a thermos of coffee wouldn't go amiss today either!
