About Carsington Water
Take your family to Carsington-Water - the 9th largest reservoir in the UK, and discover the beautiful nature around it. There are 3 cycling and 3 walking routes available. The best walk for kids is the scenic, 1-mile stretch leading to Stones Island. You’ll see stunning panoramic views across the water along the way, so be sure to bring your camera.
Carsington Water is a popular spot with fishing enthusiasts, plus it’s great for bird watching. Kingfishers, buzzards and grebes are amongst the birds who live there. Want to know more about the local wildlife? Visit the Carsington Water Wildlife Centre for the chance to watch and learn about these fascinating species.
