Social Media Manager

(Office Based, Full-Time)


Overview

We’re looking for an imaginative, confident and creative Social Media Manager to join our growing team, based in our South Birmingham office.

With an exciting new brand concept to get your teeth into, this role offers the chance to create extraordinary social campaigns and develop an iconic style and tone of voice for the brand.

You’ll have a great sense of humour and witty approach to creating engaging, shareable content.  A firm understanding of parenting and family life is a huge advantage within this role, as the successful applicant will create content that speaks directly to our audience.

Your work will be showcased on our social media channels, including Facebook which will reach 500,000 direct fans this year and well over 5 million people in total.

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Brand, you’ll be creating a social media strategy, forward planning and delivering content to our audience:

  • Growing the Facebook and Instagram reach and engagement
  • Identifying the best ways to use Twitter to educate, inform and support customers.
  • Managing an editorial calendar and integrating key seasonal and event driven dates.
  • Executing create content supported by our in house designer.
  • Creating a Pinterest strategy to drive blog traffic.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a creative social media role.
  • Good paid social knowledge including A/B testing.
  • A firm understanding of the parenting sector.
  • Ability to juggle priorities, analyse results and continuously evolve plans
  • A willingness to think big, make bold decisions and develop a strong brand identity.
  • Knowledge of simple design tools.

Graphic Designer

(Office Based, Full-Time)


Overview

We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Graphic Designer to join our growing team, based in our South Birmingham office.

With an exciting new brand concept to get your teeth into, this role offers the chance to produce some amazing visuals and go on a bit of an adventure.

You’ll have a passion for incredible design and an eye for detail. An interest in digital marketing and understanding of how your creative can affect online user behaviour would be a huge bonus.

Your work will be showcased on a website that receives 24million visits per year, plus throughout our ever-growing social media and email channels.

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Digital Campaign Manager, you’ll be creating visual assets for a variety of consumer, brand and B2B marketing campaigns, including but not limited to:

  • Digital advertising – across social media, display, web banners
  • Social media posts
  • Presentations, PDFs, print materials
  • Brand assets such as iconography
  • Web landing pages or microsites
  • Any other creative as requested by the Marketing, Brand, B2B, or User Experience departments

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • A 2:1 design degree or vocational equivalent
  • A minimum of 18 months’ experience in a graphic/web designer role
  • Experience of using packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Ability to work to a brief, hit deadlines, and take feedback on board
  • A positive outlook and willingness to get stuck in!

Desirable

  • Knowledge of HTML and web design principles
  • Animation/video editing experience using packages such as Premiere Pro and After Effects
