Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre

Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre is a great starting point for your day out at the park, providing information on all the activities and events taking place. Popular events throughout the year include a fireworks display, school holiday sessions, historic parades and fun fairs. With its stunning views of the surrounding countryside, it's a peaceful spot to plan your adventure or simply take in the beauty of the natural surroundings. There is also a gift shop.

See Rare Breeds Of Animals

At Sandwell Park Farm see Tamworth Pigs, Shropshire Sheep, Bagot Goats and Hereford Cattle. Kids can learn all about how to to care for these special breeds.

Free Children's Adventure Playground

The free adventure playground includes so many activities for kids we think they won't want to go home! There's climbing nets, a rope bridge, an eight-metre high tower with a slide, swings, and a double zip wire! That's not all kids can spin around on the dragon roundabout, take on the the challenge of the suspension bridge and ride a play tractor.

Near To RSPB Sandwell Valley Nature Reserve

Sandwell Valley Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife, with a variety of habitats to explore and discover. Keep an eye out for rare bird species, butterflies, and other wildlife as you wander through the outdoor trails. Don't forget to bring your binoculars for some bird watching at the RSPB Sandwell Valley reserve, where you can spot a variety of bird species in their natural habitat.

Getting to Sandwell Country Park using public transport is pretty straightforward. Here’s a simple guide:

By Train: The nearest train station to Sandwell Country Park is Sandwell & Dudley Station. From Birmingham New Street, you can take a direct train to Sandwell & Dudley, which takes about 10-15 minutes. Once at Sandwell & Dudley, you can catch a bus or take a short taxi ride to the park.

By Bus: Several buses serve the area around Sandwell Country Park. From Birmingham, you can take bus numbers 74 or 79 towards West Bromwich. You will need to get off at the West Bromwich Bus Station and then take another bus, such as the 410, 402, or 404, which will drop you closer to the park entrance.

By Metro: The Midland Metro tram service can be another option. You can take the tram from Birmingham towards Wolverhampton and get off at The Hawthorns stop. From there, it’s a short bus ride or a pleasant walk to Sandwell Country Park.
