Newman Brothers Coffin Works
Birmingham, West MidlandsAbout Newman Brothers Coffin Works
The Newman Brothers Coffin Works is a rare and wonderfully preserved example of Victorian Engineering. Experience a time capsule, with its working machinery and unusual products, left on the shelves and workbenches when the workforce set down their tools and left for the very last time.
Experienced guides will lead you around the factory where you will experience the sights, sounds and smells of factory life and hear stories about workers, owners and trade.
For little ones, there is the specially designed Fred the Factory Cat Trail. Find the hidden cats and answer their questions about the museum and exhibits. A fun and relaxed way to get little minds curious about the museum. You also get your very own apron to wear around the museum containing a magnifying glass and a magnet to explore the collections around you more closely.
Also, keep an eye out for special family tours and craft activities during the Birmingham School Holidays! For further details check out the website for upcoming events.
