Attraction Information
Aston Hall may be old and traditional now, but the hole made by the cannonball in its staircase proves it was once anything but. The Civil War can sound dull on paper, but touching a real piece of history livens it up for anyone!
If your child is intrigued by the history of kings and queens, Aston Hall has plenty of family activities to entertain them, especially during the school holidays! They can create portraits using wax and ink or sequins, feathers and coloured paper, make masks, hear traditional folk tales full of dragons and the plucky young people who outwitted them, and much more.
After the activity is over, why not take them for a walk in Lady Holte's Garden? These old gardens were designed to be impressive as well as peaceful, and every attempt has been made to have kept them exactly as they were in the 17th Century.
