Attraction Information
Greenmeadow Community Farm is a well-loved local farm with lots of history!
Part of the working farming landscape for 250 years, it was threatened with closure in the 1980s to be turned into a development site. The local people of Cwmbran stepped in to save it and preserve it as a place where locals and visitors could go to learn more about farming, which is exactly what you can do!
Set over 120 acres there are lots of animals you can get close to and meet, such as cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and more. The daily demonstrations show you how to milk a cow and do other jobs to keep the farm running and look after the animals. Take a ride on a tractor (subject to availability) and then go and relax in the wonderfully named Café Cwtch, which serves delicious homemade treats in a gorgeous, countryside setting.
