A peaceful park that’s perfect to just enjoy the beauty of nature in, welcome to Etherow Country Park. Home to hundreds of species of birds, you can create a bird bingo game and see how many you can spot! There’s also a beautiful fountain that you can see too.

During the summer the park has fun fetes and musical events, so you’re in for a real treat. Don’t forget about the secret gardens too (well…it’s not so secret now). It’s also the oldest formal public park in Plymouth, having been built 150 years ago! Definitely worth visiting.

Pittville Park, Gloucestershire

Something unique about Pitville Park is its Pitville Pump Room! The grandest survival of the town’s spa building that overlooks the beautiful lake and the park’s grand lawns. A peaceful place to relax and unwind. A children’s play area is also a fun addition to the park, with its water and sand pits too! As well as this, if you keep your eye out, you may be able to sport some bunnies and birds!

Saunders Park, Brighton, Essex

A basketball and football area has also been renovated a couple of years ago, so it’s worth visiting! And during the summer months, there’s a paddling pool to cool your little ones.

Come visit the largest park in Oxford! Cutteslowe is awarded the Green Flag too, you know it’s going to be a great park. With 3 children’s play areas, grass pitches to play ball games on, table tennis, a miniature golf course and an 18 control orienteering course, there are bounds of activities to occupy you all day! And for those that visit on the first May bank holiday, there’s a splash feature that will be opening!

Alexandra Park, Hastings

Being one of Hastings’s biggest parks at 109 acres, Alexandra Park has plenty of green space for some activities. It’s actually famous for its arboretum, as it has one of the best collections of trees in Britain (impressive!), there are also some lovely bodies of water, a miniature railway, bandstands and playgrounds too.

Cae Ddol

A large area of open space, it’s perfect to play about it. With River Clwyd running through it on one side, there is also a pond as its central feature. Abundant with wildlife, it is popular with the locals, especially with the two majestic swans residing there. It’s the town’s pride and joy.

Heath Park, Cardiff

Barshaw Park Paisley, Renfrewshire
