Taking its name from the Anglo Saxon era, Haigh Woodland Park is anything but ancient with high ropes courses, crazy golf and professional pigs!
Daredevils are welcome on the high ropes course, but there’s always the low ropes for littluns and beginners; either way it’s a thrill. Drop back down to earth on an 18 hole golf course unlike any you’ve ever seen, with an oak tree stump vortex and actual viking boat! Throw in some footgolf for extra odd factor.
This lovely, old woodland is the perfect spot for a weekend walk with nature trails to follow and guides to help you learn all about the rich wildlife that fills the area, including a few patrolling pigs who’ve been brought in to chomp down the weeds. They’re rare breeds but certainly aren’t too fancy to enjoy a gentle pat.
