It’s that time of year again where everything gets a little bit spooky! If you’re looking for some frightfully good family fun this Halloween, we’ve got you covered. We’ve rounded up some of the best Halloween events near you that are sure to keep your little monsters happy. There’s plenty of spooktacular thrills, so we’re sure Halloween this year will definitely go down a treat.

Spooky Spectacular at West Midland Safari Park, Worcestershire

There’s been some very curious things going on at West Midland Safari Park’s Spooky Spectacular recently, so they need your help to solve the Mystery of the Pumpkin Thief! Head off on an awesome adventure along the new Scratchcard Trail to put your skills to the test and see if you can figure out this mystery. It's all treats and no tricks this year, because for everyone who completes the trail there's a little treat at the end for you!

Keep your cameras at the ready to capture the stunning Halloween decorations, including hundreds of pumpkins and lots of spooky scarecrows. All of your favourite animals will be out and about too, making it the perfect spooky day out for little animal lovers.

Happy Halloween Hauntings at Fishers Farm Park, West Sussex

Fishers Farm Park is getting spooky! There’s plenty of treats (and a few nice tricks!) around the farm and there's something for every little ghost and ghoul. Venture into the Enchanted Woods where the Ghostess with the Mostess is waiting to greet you in this magical forest, she's even got a few marvellous mysteries around too.

If you’re feeling a little bit brave, why not take a ride on the Ghost Tunnel? This spooky ride will definitely give you a chill up your spine and make you laugh at the loud on this funny Halloween ride, plus there’s even an excellent educational twist. You won’t miss out on all the usual fun on the farm too, so once you’ve had your share of spooks, you can head over to the Animal Encounters Barn for some lovely and friendly cuddles!

See the Spook-tacular show The Legends of Paultons Manor for a spectacular all singing and dancing Halloween story and don’t miss the adventure of Pickles the Pumpkin and the Spirit Squad. Bring along your camera too because there’s plenty of great photo opportunities!

  1. The Hop Family Farm, Kent

    The infamous Witch of Wookey Hole loves Halloween, and invites you all along to celebrate her favourite time of year at Wookey Hole Caves. Meet the wicked witch in her grotto and learn all about the potions she’s cooking up in her cauldron, and if you’re brave enough you could take a ridge on the Ghost Train…

  3. Halloween Half Term Monkey World Ape Rescue, Dorset
    24th October - 1st November 2020

    Little monkeys will love getting spooky at Monkey World Ape Rescue. Grab your Creature of the Night activity sheet and set off on an eerie adventure around the park, don’t miss the Spook Station too where you can get introduced to some of the creatures of the night!

    October 25th - 28th October 2020

    Calling all history buffs! Berkeley Castle is stepping back in time this Halloween with all sorts of famous ghosts! Meet King Henry VIII and his two beheaded wives, say hello to Beastly Bad Queen Bess and watch out for Wee Jobbie the Gaoler looking for some new prisoners. It’s set to be a Tudor-riffic Halloween!

    Prepare for a spooky Halloween day out at Warwick Castle’s Haunted Castle. You’ll get to meet all sorts of ghosts, wizards and ghouls as you explore the spooky mansion. Learn all about the secret spells the Witches of Warwick are cooking in their cauldron and don’t miss the spellbinding shows too!  

  3. Pumpkin Spooktacular at Hatton Adventure Park, Warwickshire

    Hatton Adventure Park has it all this Halloween: ghosts, ghouls and pumpkins! Once you've picked your own pumpkin and carved it, see if you’re brave enough to venture into the Haunted House. Get ready for the Zoobee’s Halloween Show, and come in your spookiest costume because there’s even a Fancy Dress Competition!

    It’s all treats and no tricks at Cadbury World this Halloween. You’ll have to put on your thinking hats as you enter Freddo’s Haunted Mansion to help him uncover the mystery ghost, and the famous frog has plenty of spooky fun and games too! Don’t forget to pop on your creepiest costumes too.

    There’s plenty of fang-tastic fun to be had on the farm at National Forest Adventure Farm this Halloween. Learn how to fly with Broomstick Training and get lost in the magnificent Mummy Maze Hunt, plus pick your own pumpkin and loads more!

  1. Spooky Half Term Fun at West Lodge Rural Centre, Northamptonshire
    17th - 31st October 2020

    Halloween has come to the farm! West Lodge Farm Park’s Spooky Half Term is packed full of fang-tastic Halloween goings-on. Meet Daisy the Witch and make your very own wand, hop on the tractor for a spooky ride or settle down in the barn for a great ghost story, plus don’t forget to visit the Pumpkin patch to pick your very own pumpkin!

  2. Spooky Bolsover Castle at Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire
    24th October - 1st November 2020

    Spending Halloween at a Castle on top of the hill? It doesn’t get spookier than that! Gather your little monsters and follow the trail around Bolsover Castle to solve all of the creepy clues, and keep your ears open to listen to some super spooky stories. Plus, there’s a fang-tastic fancy dress competition, so costumes at the ready!

  1. BeWILDerwood, Norfolk
    17th October - 1st November 2020

    It’s all treats and no tricks at BeWILDerwood this Halloween, as you run wild among the trees, keep your eyes peeled for Hazel’s magic Pumpkins, and watch out for Snagglefang’s BeWILDerbats! Don’t forget to put on your spooktacular costumes and dress us as Crocklebog or a nice witch.

  2. Willows Activity Farm, Hertfordshire

    Have a perfect time at the Pumpkin Festival at Willows Activity Farm, along with all the usual fun and games, it’s also packed full of pumpkin fun, with a pumpkin hunt, Ghords Grotto, and of course, pumpkin picking!

  2. Halloween and Pumpkin Picking Thornton Hall Country Park, North Yorkshire
    10th - 31st October 2020

    Fancy a trip to the farm with a fang-tastic twist? Thornton Hall Country Park has everything from pumpkin picking to some seriously spooky shows! The animal barn will be open too, so you can still meet all your favourite farmyard friends.

  3. Autumn Fun on the Farm at Cannon Hall Farm, South Yorkshire

    There's plenty of amazing autumnal activities going on at Cannon Hall Farm this year, including plenty of pumpkins. Head into the pumpkin fields to pick your perfect pumpkin to take home, plus dig out your best spooky costumes, because there may even be a little treat in it for those with a fang-tastic costume!

  1. Family Fright Festival at Church Farm Thurstaston, Merseyside
    3rd and 4th, 10th and 11th, 17th and 18th and 24th October - 1st November 2020

    Not only can you get your own pumpkins at Church Farm Thurstaston, but there’s plenty of fang-tastic fun too. As you make your way around the farm, keep your eyes peeled for scary scarecrows and clues, Get ready for a spooky ride on the Beastly Barrel Train Ride, and don’t worry, all your favourite farmyard friends will be there too.

  2. Spooks Safari at Gullivers World, Cheshire
    24th October - 1st November 2020

    There’s some serious spooky fun going on at Gulliver’s World this Halloween, but it’s all treats and no tricks! Watch out for the wicked witches and the perilous pirates lurking around the park, and there’s plenty of live spooky shows.

  3. Halloween Ghost Trains at East Lancashire Railway, Greater Manchester
    29th, 30th and 31st October 2020

    There’s a ghost on the loose at East Lancashire Railway, and they need you to join the Monster Squad to get to the bottom of this mystery! Jump onboard this terrific train ride and meet some spooktacular characters too, they may even tell you about their tales of the ‘Grimm’...

Halloween Events in North East

  1. Pumpkin Festival at Adventure Valley, County Durham
    17th, 18th, 24th October - 1st November 2020

    Keep your eyes peeled as you make your way around Adventure Valley and follow along the spooky trail, there’s even a little treat waiting at the end! Take aim and fire at the Corn Cob Catapult, we have a feeling the grown ups will love this one too, and of course, it wouldn’t be a Pumpkin Festival without picking your own and carving it!

  2. Spooky Half Term at Hall Hill Farm, County Durham
    24th October - 1st November 2020

    You’re in for a ghoulishly good time at Hall Hill Farm this Halloween! Hop on board for a terrific tractor and trailer ride and the brilliant Barrel Train ride, make your very own spooky scarecrow, plus get creative and carve your own pumpkin lantern.
