If you’re looking for frightfully good Halloween events near you, then this is the right list for you! From spooky surprises and haunted happenings, to plenty of tricks and treats, there’s plenty to keep your little monsters entertained. So if you think you’re brave enough, here’s our guide to 15 things to do this Halloween with the kids!

  1. Spooky Spectacular at West Midland Safari Park, Bewdley, Worcestershire

    Up for some ghoulish fun? Get ready to experience the Spooky Spectacular at West Midland Safari Park! Your tiny frights will have the chance to save the day and help the witch and wizard characters to find the ingredients they need for their family magical potion. Another adventure awaits at the Discovery Trail, where kids can search for clues to win a sweet treat at the end.

    Surrounded by stunning Hallloween decorations, scarecrows and hundreds of pumpkins, you’re sure to get into the spirit of Halloween season. Also, with all the usual wonderful animals on display, this is the perfect Halloween day out for little nature lovers!

  2. Spooky Halloween at Folly Farm, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire

    Here comes another place that knows how to throw a great Halloween event for all the family! Folly Farm, home to lots of lovable animals and an epic pirate-themed adventure playground, will be buzzing with cauldrons of seasonal fun and delightful Halloween activities.

    You’ll have the chance to explore a spooky scarecrow trail and to see Jugglestruck’s fang-tastic magic show, and the fun doesn’t end there! If your kids love creative hands-on play, they’re in for a treat (no tricks!), as the Spooky Halloween event will host various arts and crafts sessions. After all, who wouldn’t want to get messy and make some slime?

  3. Happy Halloween at Paultons Family Theme Park, Hampshire

    5th October - 4th November 2019

    Let’s kick this off with the big news - this year Peppa Pig’s World will be part of Halloween at Paultons! You’ll get to see Grandpa Pig’s ‘World’s Biggest Pumpkin’ and Mr SkinnyLegs the spider, plus you’ll have the chance to say “Hi” to Peppa and George in their Halloween costumes.

    Your mini monsters will also go on a spook-tacular adventure with Pickles the Pumpkin in the The Legend of Paultons Manor show (26th October - 3rd November), and of course there’s the Big Boo Barn brimming with lovable characters and seasonal games. Even if you don’t live close enough for this to qualify as a Halloween event near you, it’s definitely worth travelling for!

  4. Halloween Horrors at Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Derbyshire

    Head out to Chatsworth House this Halloween for a day of fiendish fun for kids (and adults) of all ages! Start of by exploring the grounds in search for hidden pumpkins and then sit down for a serving of spine-tingling storytelling in the garden. Oh, and be sure to make your way to the farmyard where your little monsters can get creative with creepy crafts and meet adorable, cuddly animals!

    Feeling brave? Dare to enter the abandoned tunnel, or take a ride on the Fright Flight into Warlock Wood, where you can help with taking care of a dastardly array of characters.

  5. Halloween Happy Hauntings at Fishers Farm Park, Wisborough Green, West Sussex

    26th October - 3rd November 2019

    With broomsticks, black cats, witches and bats at the ready, Fishers Farm Park is ready for Halloween season! Want to know what’s in store? From taking a ride through a ghost tunnel, to spending a fun-packed afternoon at the theatre with the Spook Show, and grooving to the Monster Mash at the Fishers Spooky Disco - there will be plenty of fang-tastic activities for your whole gang to enjoy.

    Plus, with creepy creatures lurking down the farm, it will be everything we love about Halloween, all wrapped up in one unmissable family experience.   6. Wiglet’s Great Spook-er-ree at Godstone Farm, Godstone, Surrey

    What better way to spend your next Halloween day out than at Godstone Farm’s Wiglet’s Great Spook-er-ree event?! With Halloween themed activities, including pumpkin carving, crafts and face painting, plus Trick or Treat games, there will be buckets of Halloween fun to enjoy. Do you think you've got what it takes to pass the Spooky Quiz with flying colours? 

    Oh, and make sure you check out the ‘Light Illusion Tunnel’! Armed with a pair of 3D glasses, you'll discover a whole new side to Godstone Farm, brimming with Brain Chilling Bats, Scary Skulls and Petrifying Pumpkins all around. It's going to be a proper "wow" experience!

  7. Halloween Shriek Week at Drusillas Park, Alfriston, East Sussex

    26th October - 3rd November 2019

    Treat your mini monsters to un-boo-lievable entertainment at Drusillas Park! From up-close creepy crawly encounters, to haunted castles and a mummy-ridden mystery maze, Shriek Week will be packed with Halloween thrills for all the family. Best part is - The Gruffalo will be visiting on the 30th! 

  8. School For Witches and Wizards at Milky Way Adventure Park, Devon, Bideford

    19th - 31st October 2019

    Time to go to school...not just any school - the School For Witches and Wizards at Milky Way Adventure Park! It’s packed full of not-so-scary but super fun Halloween activities, including broomstick riding, spooky swamp dodgems sessions and meeting friendly themed characters.

  9. Kids’ Halloween Events at Tapnell Farm Park, Isle of Wight, Yarmouth

    19th October - 4st November 2019

    Kicking off with a bugs show, followed by a Little Monsters’ Ball at the start of pumpkin week, Tapnell Farm Park has so much planned for the Halloween season that you can easily spend a few Halloween days out there without getting bored.

  10. Halloween Slime Workshops at Horniman Museum and Gardens, Forest Hill, Greater London

    21st - 24th October 2019

    If playing with gooey slime and even making their own special Einstein's Slime sound like the type of Halloween activities your kids will enjoy, then the Halloween Slime Workshops at Horniman Museum and Gardens are the perfect Halloween entertainment for you. Don’t forget to book your time slot in advance!

  11. Free Halloween Fun at Foal Farm Animal Rescue Centre, Biggin Hill, Greater London

    23rd - 26th October 2019

    If you’re in the Greater London area, finding a free Halloween event near you may be a bit difficult, so we found one for you! From spooky treasure tour and a fancy dress competition, to biscuit decorating, face painting and an animal tour - the Foal Farm Animal Rescue Centre has plenty of seasonal fun to offer.

  12. Witchcraft & Wizardry Farm Trail at Old Holly Farm, Garstang, Lancashire

    26th October 2019

    Put on your wellies and get ready to explore the boo-tiful Witchcraft & Wizardry Farm Trail at Old Holly Farm! The experience includes 3 consecutive 20-minute workshops - Wand Etiquette and Duelling, Pungent Potions and Enchanted Herbs & Plants. At the end, your budding magicians will get their own wand and an official certificate.

  13. Halloween Weekend at Manor Farm and Woodlands, Loughborough, Leicestershire

    26th -27th October 2019

    Enjoy a weekend of spooky fun in the woodlands at Manor Farm and Woodlands - it promises Halloween hunts and trails, Halloween campfire toasts and some more unusual Halloween activities, such as watching pigs bob for apples. At the end of the day, you could even join a wizard and his owl on a visit to the Witch of the Woods.

  14. Pumpkin Festival at Piglets Adventure Farm Park, Towthrope, North Yorkshire

    26th October - 3rd of November 2019

    From picking your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch (absolutely FREE!) to fancy dress competition, and showing off your dance moves at the Little Monster’s Laser Rave - the Pumpkin Festival at Piglets Adventure Farm Park has all your favourite things to do on Halloween and more. There will be Skeleton Stilt Walkers too!

  15. Spooky Kenilworth Castle with Creepy Critters at Kenilworth Castle, Keniwlowrth, Warwickshire

    26th October - 3rd of November 2019

    Explore the fiendish side of Kenilworth Castle! You and your little monsters will have plenty of Halloween activities to dive into, from wicked crafts to a spooktacular Halloween quest around the castle, and of course creepy crawlies, including snakes, spiders and more.

    We love our Halloween events, so we decided to give you a bonus round of 2! 

  16. Halloween Fun Day at Traquair House, Traquair, South Scotland

    27th October 2019

    This Halloween, Traquair House is organising a proper family Halloween day out, complete with spooky face painting, creepy crawlies, Halloween games and a Halloween-themed lunch. The chocolate ghost hunt in the Maze is our favourite!

  17. Halloween Party at Broom House Farm and Forest, Durham, County Durham

    31st October 2019

    How about a Halloween party at the farm? In the midst of a week, filled with fang-tastic Halloween activities from broomstick-making to marshmallow-toasting, Broom House Farm and Forest will organise cauldron stories, games and spooooky visits to the forest were your kids can meet not-so-wicked witches and friendly ghosts.
