Foylehov Activity Centre offers some awesome high octane adrenalin activities; great for older kids and adventurous families!
This is the only place in Northern Ireland that we know of that offers the thrill of hover crafting! Whoosh over land and water at up to 40mph on a custom grass track with water hazards and hairpin bends! Hovercraft pilots need to be over 11 years old, and kids under 11 can get a piloted hovercraft ride with an expert Hovercraft instructor! Each session includes staff training on how to drive and handle the hovercraft, so once you've had your training, you're off!
Or if you want to keep the speed but stay in touch with the ground, over 15s can have a crack at the Powerturn Buggies. Starting in a practice area to receive your expert tuition and get the hang of it, you'll soon graduate to the race track where you and your passenger can perform speedy laps and skillful skids! They did mention there's no steering wheel though, right? That's right: no steering wheel! You control the safely roll caged kart with twin throttle columns instead.
What about things for the little guys? Well there's Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting available for anyone big enough to hold the (harmless) gun. For a bit of a livelier shoot-out, older kids can join in the Laser Tag games for some zero impact war play. There are also Junior Bows available in the Archery arena, though you must be fairly strong so approximately over 7's.
And finally: Footgolf! Awesome for all ages but best enjoyed with those old enough or with enough skill to aim the ball in the right direction, or it can quickly become frustrating!
10:00 - dusk throughout the year - booking is essential.
