Attraction Information

Simmons Park, which also encompasses Kempley Meadows, boasts a few great little adventure play areas with a good range of sturdy equipment great for physical development and active fun. The swings and slides plus lower level equipment is suitable for toddlers upwards but there are also significant climbing frames etc which will keep the older and braver types amused.

The Platt Meadow makes for pleasant wildlife walks and there are benches around the public gardens with plenty of nearby space to run about in. There are numerous small stone features and mini constructions which kids can have fun spotting on the way round.

Other facilities open to the public at Simmons Park include multi use sports pitches, cricket field, bowling green and bandstand. There's also a pitch and putt lawn: do note that it's pitch and putt rather than mini golf or something more youngster friendly.

There is also The Parklands Leisure Centre within the park offering it's own range of sporting and leisure opportunities.
