Attraction Information
BHS approved Shilstone Rocks Stud and Riding Centre offer a variety of well mannered mounts for friendly and supportive lessons, which are available for wannabe riders from around 5 years old, delivered by experienced professionals.
Even beginners are welcome to join their supervised, scenic 1 or 2 hour hacks with mini tuition session, with hat and riding boots provided before heading up to the moor for a sedate ride about. More experienced riders will head to the all weather arena for assessment so they can tailor the speed of the hack to your abilities, after which you may trot, canter, gallop of fly, depending on what level you're judged to be at. Longer cross country rides are available for more experienced types too. They ride in pretty much all weathers so be prepared for this in terms of clothing.
They have a range of horses and ponies to suit all abilities with temperaments matched by experienced staff to fit your needs, from the beginner to the experienced rider.
