We are proud to be the ultimate alternative to soft play, moving away from the chaotic, loud environments of traditional soft play areas. Instead, our unique role-play village focuses on high-quality, creative play that helps babies and toddlers build confidence, fine motor skills, and social skills in a calm, nurturing setting. Pastel tones and wooden toys rather than primary colours - for the benefit of us as well as our children!

Whether you are parents seeking a friendly change of scenery or grandparents looking for an enjoyable and practical spot to play with grandchildren, Puffin Cove is the perfect multi-generational location. We attract families from Haddenham, Thame, Chinnor, Wendover, and Princes Risborough. We have a full range of seating, from floor sofas to comfy armchair style seats, so you can watch and play with your little adventurers however works best for you.
All-Weather Comfort and Premium Refreshments
Our fully climate-controlled venue ensures cosy play sessions in the winter and a cool escape during summer, making us an ideal rainy day activity for kids, a cool summer retreat and everything in between. Our café serves a fantastic selection of food and drinks, from hot barista coffees with expertly roasted beans (thanks to Dark Horse Roastery just over the M40) and specialty teas to refreshing iced coffees for warmer days, alongside delicious treats, lunch boxes and toddler-friendly snacks.

We are open 6 days a week during summer and 7 days a week during winter. To maintain a calm experience, we limit session capacities. Exceptional Facilities & Stress-Free Access
We pride ourselves on our clean, amazing facilities. Our fully stocked toilet and baby changing area is loaded with essential emergency supplies for both baby and adult mishaps. Getting here is entirely stress-free. For those driving, parking is easy at Mount Street car park, a flat 300m walk away. If you are walking, we have dedicated space for prams inside. Come experience our award-winning magic!
Events and Extra Fun!
We have an amazing network of partners in and around Princes Risborough and every month have a full calendar of extra events. Some for the littles - sing and play sessions, story and dance sessions, crafts at the cove. Some for adults - Libby's sleep club, career and/or life coaching, nutritionist sessions. A Spotlessly Clean Sanctuary designed for children and their adults!
Unlike traditional, chaotic soft play environments, Puffin Cove is deliberately designed for the adults as well as the children. We wanted to create peaceful escape for parents and grandparents to enjoy as much as their little ones. We offer brilliant coffee, roasted locally (just over the M40 from us) and delicious cakes, snacks and lunch boxes with a calm, beautifully curated aesthetic. The layout of Puffin is such that you can sit anywhere and see almost every corner of play space, enabling you to truly relax and drink your coffee while it's still hot. No haring around after your little ones.
Immersive, Role-Play Village (Aged 0–5)
Our play space is tailored exclusively for early years development, ensuring a safe zone free from the boisterous energy of older children. Tiny imaginations can run wild in our beautifully crafted, immersive village, which features all wooden toys and a play supermarket, play café and kitchen, beauty station, games room, garage and even a rocking horse.
It is the perfect antidote to soft play. Calm, engaging and encourages natural curiosity, building confidence as your little ones explore Puffin Cove.
For our youngest visitors, we have specific baby toys we keep just for them ensuring they're spotlessly clean for each visitor as they explore with eyes, hands, mouths! Please do ask for them in the rare instance where our staff haven't spotted your littlest ones and brought them out for you.
Empathetic and Understanding! One off visits, subscriptions and parties.
We are parents ourselves. One owner has 2 children, the other has three (including a set of twins). We are in this stage of life with you and know good days and bad days.
Good days - why not choose us to have your party? A home away from home, that someone else sets up and tidies up for you.
Bad days - just get your little(s) in the car/pram and just get down here. Our toilet has all the supplies you could need for emergencies for both you and your little one. Our cafe has fruit, snacks, cakes, lunchboxes, caffeine! We've got climate control so it's never to hot or too cold. Just turn up, and breathe and reset.
Or how about make sure you can always have good days no matter what! Our subscription model gives you unlimited access to Puffin each month. Turn up whenever you like within any daily waddle play session and leave whenever you like within the session. Slow, Relaxed Friday afternoons, or a quick 20min pop in alongside the Tesco shop!

We aim to open all bank holidays except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We also open Tuesdays (so open all 7 days of the week) in Winter.
We do close when our staff need holiday and no one in our small team can cover, and we do close when we've been hired privately for a party. Therefore please check our website for live opening and all details.
