About The Rye
The Rye is slap in the centre of High Wycombe, just a short walk from the High Street so a great trade off for behaviour whilst shopping! The park covers an area of more than 22 hectares (53 acres) and is the second largest park in the district, so even in high summer there's room for you and yours!
There is a children's playground in the park, close to the River Wye, and football pitches are laid out on the grass during the season. Changing rooms are available for sports bookings.
The Dyke on the Rye is large stretch of open water which is fed by water from the Abbey School grounds and happily allows permit fishing along one part of the lake, with pleasure craft for hire at the western end! The water spills over a little waterfall and into a stream that flows out of the park toward the east, which makes it a gorgeous spot for some family photos or a picnic.
The Wycombe Rye Lido with an open air pool, gym and tennis courts is nearby too, so why not pack the cozzies and extend your day out to include some splash time!
