The Great Big Halloween Hunt Trail
Date: 7 October – 1 November 2026
Price: Included with normal admission (free for National Trust members)
Perfect for children aged 2–5, this playful trail is inspired by the Nosy Crow book The Great Big Halloween Hunt.
Enjoy fun family activities around the formal gardens as little explorers search, play and discover together.
This trail follows the book of the same name written and illustrated by Ekaterina Trukhan.
Play hide and seek behind ancient trees..
. The parkland offers beech, oak, and chestnut trees! Keep your eyes peeled for majestic wildlife like soaring kites and pass by adorable cows as you venture around the countryside. There are over 600 acres of woodland and farmland in total!
Got a furry friend?
Bring them along to Hughenden for a lovely walk in the countryside. Dogs on leads and under close control are allowed in the formal gardens, the orchard, the parkland and at the Stableyard Café. Only assistance dogs are allowed inside the house.
