Waddesdon Manor houses an extensive collection of art from 18th-century furniture to Dutch Old Masters you are certain to have a great day spent exploring. Set amongst stunning gardens, perfect for a day spent outdoors.
Rolling parkland and manicured formal gardens act as the backdrop for this historic setting.
The kids are free to jump, swing, climb, skip and play all day long. The playground winds through the trees near the stables, creating a magical natural environment. With slides, swings and plenty of soft bark to land on there’s lots of playing to be had. For something more exhilarating take a ride on the zip wire, or swing away on the giant bird nest swing.
The aviary houses a colourful collection of rare exotic birds, many close to extinction. You can learn in a beautiful setting about where they originate from, and be sure to look out for Mimi the resident Rothschild Mynah bird.

There is so much to explore at Waddesdon from the richly decorated rooms in the house to the beautiful landscaped gardens. A highlight for families is the Aviary filled with colourful and exotic birds. After exploring the grounds, make sure you head down to the Stables where you can enjoy an ice cream!

Christmas is also a special time at Waddesdon so make sure to visit at the most wonderful time of year and enjoy decorations in the house, a gliterring light trail and a Christmas market.

Our nearest train station is Aylesbury Vale Parkway. Regular trains run from London Marylebone to Aylesbury and Aylesbury Vale Parkway. Your onward journey from the train station can be made by taxi or bus. The Waddesdon Greenway, a safe cycle and walking route joining Aylesbury Vale Parkway to Waddesdon Manor, is currently open.
