Attraction Information

Leighton Hall near Carnforth, is the family home of the famous Gillow furniture making family. Famous for its' Objects d'art and stunning pieces of Gillow furniture, Leighton is a place where everyone can relax; there are no roped off areas, and it's not often you're asked not to touch!

Perfect for families with children, visitors are welcomed at the front door by friendly and entertaining guides and are encouraged to sit on the furniture and really get involved.

Between May and September our younger visitors can explore the exciting sandpit dig, race around caterpillar maze, discover the hidden tree faces and play in the dens in the garden. In August there is a free teddy bear hunt as part of the house tour to keep all our little ones amused!

There's so much to do. Take a house tour, witness breathtaking displays of falconry, experience special events, examine priceless furniture, explore Leighton's grounds and gardens and relax with refreshments served in our charming tea rooms.
