Dive right into history at the Lancaster Maritime Museum!
You will feel as though you’ve been thrown right into the century as you explore the maritime trade of the city, delve into the history of the port and the Canal using sound, smells, reconstructions and audiovisuals! Trade is at the heart of Lancaster, you don’t fully know the city until you’ve been to this museum!
Practice being a little lady or lord as you admire the beautiful model of a traditional luxury horse drawn carriage. The museum also holds an exciting boating collection of vessels built and used locally including dugout boats and apparently a Hector, though Hector's nature remains a mystery to the landlubbers!
