About Graves Park
This impressive dog-friendly park is raved about by many park users, whether they are local visitors or it's people's first time visiting. The park has an endless amount of excellent facilities and things to do with the kids like the new adventure playground. Whether you want to leap from monkey bars, dip n dive through hoops or challenge grandad to game of cricket on the cricket pitch nearby, there's lots to try out! Check out the immaculate bowling greens and bowl until your heart's content, it's the perfect Summer game. Pitch up your blanket and have a picnic next to the idyllic fishing lake. The pond here covers 1/3 of the parkland, so prepare for a tranquil day spotting the diverse & lively wildlife. Feeling competitive? Bring along your tennis rackets and head to the tennis courts no matter what the weather! Andy Murray who? With football pitches too and regular visits from the ice cream man your kids will love all that Graves Park has to offer! Did I forget to mention the bouncy castles & inflatable slides too? Keep your eyes peeled for when these colourful castles pop up in the Summer.
Graves Farm Park is another brilliant family day out. Located in the park, the farm is also free and is home to variety of adorable and rare animals. Get up close and personal with Tamworth pigs, Highland cattle and Jacob sheep. Plus goats, donkeys, deer, rabbits and many more. The main barn is home to baby animals, including piglets and lambs! The Graves Farm Park and Pets Corner offers lots of fun events throughout the year too, so feel free to regularly check their facebook page for exciting upcoming events. The farm is open everyday from 10:00 - 15:30 everyday but dogs are sadly not allowed here unlike the park.
Feeling tired after a day of exploration? Why not spend your last hour at the park in the Rose Garden Cafe. Kick back with your Italian Ciabatta sandwich while the kids gobble their scrumptious cone of ice cream in the sunshine. Whether you want to sit outdoors or indoors, there's access for everyone at the cafe. Whether you want a slow day soaking up the sun in the cafe's garden or a day packed pull of exciting sporting activities and animal experiences, there's so much to do with the kids.
