Family doing experiment at Winchester Science Centre

Attraction Information

Welcome to the Winchester Science Centre: one huge activity area exploring the principles of life, the universe and everything! What really sets it apart is their hands on approach to learning. Children are actively encouraged to experiment and work together. Plus it’s all housed in a spectacular white pyramid!

Become a deep space explorer in the fabulous Planetarium - one of the largest in the UK. Their shows are of cinema standard quality and lead you through a range of immersive full-dome films. The regular live science shows are also an essential with loads of cool experiments to boggle little brains.

Stretch your senses with a packed bill of activities. Try their Mindball experience where you’ll move a ball using nothing but your brainwaves! Next take on an engineering challenge in the Invention Studio or have a go at wheelchair basketball. Then if you’re feeling really brave take a trip into the human digestive system at the Colon Café. Kids will love hearing about all the yucky bits and hopefully learn a little something at the same time. Win win!
