About Manor Farm and Country Park

Visit a historic farm that is rich in history and actually dates back to medieval times! Showcasing a traditional farm life, while also providing an insight into the past.

The History

In the 13th century, a parish church was built here to serve the local community of Botley. And over the next 800 years, the farm evolved, with new buildings popping up and having been restored through the centuries. Now, Manor Farm is a bustling attraction. If you love history, you should head over to the 15th-century farmhouse. Which housed many generations of farm workers and their families. After falling into disrepair, Hampshire County Council bought the farm during the 1970s and with the help of volunteers, fixed it to how it is today.

All of your farmyard friend

We have all the usual farm animals you would expect to see in a traditional farmyard setting for you to meet. This includes waterfowl, bunnies and guineas, cattle, sheep, alpacas and pigs. We also have goat mountain, equine barn and the poultry house for you to explore and meet more farmyard friends.

New play barn

Keep the farmyard fun going whatever the weather in our purpose-built play barn!

This farm-themed play area includes both indoor and outdoor spaces with plenty of activities and several accessible play pieces for children of all ages to enjoy.

Experience a traditional farmyard

Nestled around the central yard are a collection of traditional farm buildings dating back to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

You'll find barns, stables, workshops, and a pig poke, as well as granary and shepherds' caravans.
