Attraction Information
Fancy introducing your kids to the wonders of the great outdoors? Sign them up for the Ranger Activities organised by Forest Holidays Blackwood! Under the guidance of a real Forest Ranger, your brave adventurers will soon learn everything they need to know, in order to become Mini Forest Rangers themselves.
Forest Holidays’ expert scouts will teach your curious tots how to find the best place for a shelter and how to build one. Other useful skills the little ones will acquire are finding safe-to-drink water, starting a fire and distinguishing between different plants in the forest. Those are all necessary for survival in the wilderness.
Kids will get the chance to catch bugs in a pot for a closer look and even stalk wildlife using real night vision equipment (lots of stealth and patience required). Plenty of fun forest games and crafts are also on the cards. And depending on the season, mini rangers will learn how to make nettle rope, or forage for wild food. Really, there is so much to learn - your kids will be talking about this for ages!
