Icarus Falconry, also known as Holdenby Falconry Centre, is a family-run business set in the grounds of Holdenby House Estate, and is home to a unique collection of birds of prey! The centre provides a great selection of exciting hands-on experiences that allow you to get up close to some of these magnificent birds.Things to doThere are a wide variety of owls, hawks, eagles, and falcons, with birds of prey ranging from the tiny Burrowing Owl to the Black Eagle! Anyone over 10 years of age can enjoy a half-day Hawk and Owl Experience, which begins with a look around the centre to see the superb collection of birds, followed by the chance to fly a variety of owls.From April- September 11am- 4pm the falconry centre is open at the weekends. The visitor centre attraction is perfect for all ages and you can enjoy a wide range of fun activities from flying demonstrations to interactive animal encounters, and more! Feel free to wander through the conservation area and explore the British wildlife menagerie with the centre's stunning fox, hedgehog, harvest mice, and polecat to see. There are also historic gardens to uncover! Food & DrinkEnjoy a sweet or savoury treat in the magnificent tearooms and get a sweet souvenir from the gift shop.
