Things to do
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre is a state-of-the-art leisure centre located in Rugby. Its exciting renovation has cost a grand-spanking £100,000! The investment in the centre has improved the gym experience for families as they now have access to even more excellent facilities. Some of these new and improved facilities are a Functional training zone, HIIT classes, Strength equipment and much much more!
Work up a sweat in the 100-station gym! Whether you are a lover of all things cardio or you prefer training with resistance equipment and free weights there's something for everyone.
Take your little mermaids and mermen to the pool to practise their butterfly strokes and build confidence in the water. Swimming is a vital human skill which you can learn at this centre, so it's a good thing you can start early in the toddler sessions. There are two swimming pools to choose from: A 25m, 8 lane swimming pool - suitable for everything from swimming lessons (usually used for play sessions and regional competitions). And there is a 17m x 8m state-of-the-art studio pool with a moveable floor which offers baby and toddler sessions to aqua classes.
Reach higher than before on the climbing wall and build up your upper body strength. Play some squash in the sports hall or attend one of 40 fitness classes per week. You can join in with Circuits, Boxfit, Yoga, Power Pump and Total Body Conditioning.
Finish your trip to the gym by loosening up your muscles and relaxing in the sauna and steam suite. Head to the cafe for a light snack and cold drink and voila, your fitness session is complete!
The centre also offers a variety of kid's activities including soft play, birthday parties and swimming lessons. There is a wide selection of memberships available with no long-term contract, so whether you are looking for a low-cost gym or a full-access membership, there will be something suitable for you and your family.
