About Daventry Country Park
Daventry Country Park is a popular Green Flag Award winning park located about 1 mile from town centre, and easily accessible by bicycle, car, or on foot. It is an exciting place for the whole family to explore that is open throughout the year and free to visit!
If the kids fancy a play, there is an exciting Adventure Playground full of scramble nets, slides, climbing frames, swings, and a zip wire, that will provide fantastic fun for all ages! Want something, try the Sensory Garden, or maybe just stop for a picnic at one of the designated picnic areas set in peaceful locations around the park.
There are way marked, hard surfaced, and circular trails to follow, through meadows and woodlands, and past the beautiful reservoir where you can feed the ducks. There are wheelchair accessible hides to stop and view the wildlife, plus a Nature Reserve to explore, and a Nature Trail to follow that features 6 information boards dotted around the park.
You can also walk the dog, go geocaching, follow the fitness trail, go orienteering and more in this fantastically family friendly park. You can use our link to pick up details on how to access the permanent orienteering trail and how to get started geocaching: you can do it all over the place these days!
