Attraction Information

Salcey Forest is a huge ancient forest, dating back to Roman times. There are lots of ways to explore, including  a family cycle trail, 3 walking trails and exciting adventure trails for the little nature lovers. The latest free kids’ adventure is a A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon Glow Trail*.

How about some outdoor play? There are play facilities throughout Salcey Forest but the main play area is by the Forest Cafe. Stop there for an ice cream and grab a bite to eat. No need to rush - the kids will have lots of fun balancing, sliding and swinging at the playground.

Salcey Forest hosts other family-friendly activities, as well. Maybe you’re into horseback riding, or maybe you want to complete an orienteering course with the Gruffalo - it’s all possible! And if you simply want to relax in the great outdoors, bring a food basket and unwind at one of the forest picnic areas.
